Tackle it Tuesday!!

This is my desk!! I know it makes my skin crawl to look at this picture and I have to say I can't quite believe I'm actually posting a picture of it for everyone to see!!! Better Late than Never!!

So okay...I know its a little late in the day for a post but I promise that I back in bloggy business after this what month break!! Things have been super crazy around here. House Hunting will hopefully be coming to an end tomorrow if we find out good news!! Everyone please say a prayer that everything works out.

On a lighter note...while I've not been blogging myself I have actually started reading some new blogs and stumbled upon some really cool stuff.

I stumbled across an awesome blog called Unplug your Kids check her out and get in on the action!! It's awesome!!! Each week she has a different theme for projects to do with your kids. This was our first week the theme is scissors!!
We decided, well I decided, to make our very own flower garden. So I got out all my old Better Home and Garden mags and went to town clipping out pics of flowers. That was the cutting part of the project. Get scissors to cut out the pictures. Then we glued the flowers on a sheet of paper to make our own flower garden!! The little man loved it and we had fun. Monday Madness!!

I just had to share the Little Man's exquisite taste for fashion!! I was sitting downstairs when he came trampling down the stairs in this get up!! Too hilarious not to share!!! And had to make a memory of it in his first Fashion Disaster!!!

Finally found a HOUSE!!!

For those of you who know about our house hunt
that has been an ongoing battle for what two going on three months now, we have finally found one and have a contract signed and in order on one!!! YEAHHHHHH!!!
It will be finalized hopefully by the end of next week if everything works out!! But at least we have a signed contract in hand!! So that is a huge burden off of us. It'll be plenty of room, plenty of storage, and almost everything we've been looking for!!! We are so excited and hope that all the last pieces of the puzzle fall into place. So keep your fingers, toes, and whatever else you want to crossed for us that everything works out!!!

Big Score at Target!!!

Okay...so I hit the Target this morning kids in tow and marched (literally, per the Little Man's request) straight to the Easter stuff!!! WoooooHOOOOOOOOO for 75% off!! I got 4 big bags of stuff for $30 that's right you heard me $30.44 to be exact.
Here are a few things I got...
3 count them 3 Easter Baskets
3 packs of Easter dye kits
Several Easter toys: Barbie Kelly dolls etc.
5 pink and pastel colored Picture Frames that don't even look Easterish
4 Easter Tops for Little Boo next year
Several Marvel Comic Figurines
Several packs of the easter eggs like frogs and shapes
and several more things I can't remember!!!

I was so happy I nearly hopped out of the store. Well actually I did (again per the Little Man's request)!!! I would love to know what the Target people are thinking when we come in. I'm sure it's something like "who is this crazy woman with these two little cuties"!!! It's okay I have fun with them and they love it!!!

So who cares!!!!

You should try it it's really fun!!! So when you go to this WONDERFUL Target sale go and march in to the Easter stuff and then when you leave Hop like a bunny out of the store!!! You'll see how fun it really is!!!

Sugar Rush!!!

I know that Wordless Wednesday is suppose to be well, Wordless but I just had to share with you about our Wonderful Easter!! So let's call this...
Wonderful, Wordfull, Wednesday with Pictures!!

I think my little Man is coming down off his high of Easter Candy. Darn, that Easter Bunny who told him to buy all that candy anyway? I don't know if it's a crash from the sugar or just sheer exhaustion from the wonderful Easter weekend that we had. We had a most enjoyable weekend with lots food and family! A great combination!! I hosted the family for our Easter Fiesta and other than a mishap with turning the temp. up on my fridge and turning the deviled eggs into deviled cubes ice, everything turned out good!!! I hope it'll become a tradition!!!

Although these pictures may say something different they both actually had a very good Easter!! This was the aftermath of the mad rush to get ready for Church!! Once we were in the car on the road they were both Happy! But I didn't get a pic of that!! Maybe next year!!!

She was totally right it does just make me want springtime here even more!!! I'm totally hooked and definitely gonna try to make it out to see him when he's in my area!!! Woooo Hooo!!

Just a Funny Story!!!

So I was talking to the Little Man the other day about God and how God wants him to be kind to his friends and family. To be a good little boy and obey. He wanted to know where is God and now any book we read that has a picture of Jesus or talks about God he says "is that God?" So I explain to him, no you can't see God he is in Heaven looking down on you and taking care of you. God lives in the sky in the clouds. That was just the preface to my story now here is the funny part!!

I signed him up for a Disney book club much to my dismay because all the books are basically a synopsis of the Disney Movies!! Don't get me wrong I love reading to the little man but after seeing Cars for the 2 millionth time then having to read a summary of the entire movie it gets old. So he picks up Cinderella the other night and wants to read it. Oh how proud his father would be I thought. So I begin to read. It gets to the part of the "Fairy Godmother" he stops, sits up in bed, looks at me and then pulls the book really close and looks really hard. Then looks back at me and says, "Mama, that's God?" So then I had to explain to him what a fairy god mother was. It was too funny!!!

So we visited a proposed preschool for our Little Man this morning. I stay at home with him and am just looking for something to give him some social interaction and more structure. It starts it the Fall and he will be 3 and has to be Potty Trained as well but that's blog for another day!!!

So I began yesterday preparing him for our tour. That we are going to school and are going to walk around and look at the boys and girl who are already in school and we can't stay blah, blah, blah. Well all that preparing and explaing was in Vain. To make a long story short. Little Boo and I carried on with the tour as he and Daddy went back to the car. As his meltdown unfolded. After 15 minutes of the tour and total and utter embarrassment we finally finished. I proceed back to the car to see him in his car seat red faced, tears streaming down his face, and uncontrollably gasping those of you with two years old know the sound well. He had a complete and utter meltdown because he couldn't play with the toys and the kids. I was so flustered and embarrassed I didn't hear half of what the director told me or ask her any of my questions. But it looks like a great school and hopefully if he is potty trained by next Fall he will go. Part of me was mortified and the other part of me felt so bad for him that he didn't understand why he couldn't stay and play. I continued to try and explain to him what we were doing but he wasn't listening!!

So those of you reading that have advice for the TERRIBLE Two's let me hear what you got!!

Things have been a little CRAZY around here!! We are in the process of shopping for a house. And did I say Potty Training was the hardest things I've ever done in my life! Nope I take that back looking for a House is!!! There are tons out there that I LOVE LOVEE LOVE!! But none that fit us!!! We aren't asking for much just newer home, more room, a nice size kitchen and a garage. There are other things I would like to have but I can't live without them. Oh and the most important thing PRICE!!! How did I forget that!!! Well I must be patient I know it will come!!! BUT WHEN!!!!
OHHHH the Frustration!!! Luckily we have a great REaltor who is looking out for us and gonna lead us to that Oh so AMAZING FIND!!!

Healthy ,Delicious, and Organic Snack!!

For those of you who don't know who Sara Snow is you must check her out!! I saw her on Jon and Kate+8 and was hooked. She is an Organic Guru. Anything from going green in the kitchen to your cleaning products she has the info. to take you there.
I have just recently started to try and feed my family as much Organic as I possibly can. Although it can be pricey at times I feel like I helping my family learn a better, healthier lifestyle!!!

I can totally tell a difference in my Little Man when he has more sugar in his diet and eats less healthy foods!! My wake up call was whenever I asked him what he wanted to eat he said "A BURGER"!! WHOAH, OK we need to chill with the Happy Meals!
And while we still have that occasional night when I just don't feel like cooking and I need a cooking break that we go out to eat and maybe have fast food, I still try and limit it because I know in the long run I'm teaching him a good lesson in Health!!

I wanted to share a recipe of Sara's I found on her website that you can check out HERE!! She is awesome and I wanted to share these YUMO Energy Bars with you that I am now hooked on!!

Energy Sustaining Breakfast Bars

2 1/2 cups old fashioned organic quick oats
1/2 cup whole flax seed
1/4 cup organic dark cocoa power (or slightly less)
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
1/2 t spirulina
1/2 to 1 cup HOT water

INSTRUCTIONS
Stir ingredients together.
Form into individual sized paddies, like hamburgers.
Wrap in plastic wrap and keep in freezer or fridge.

They are amazing! I have to admit when I was mixing them up I thought to myself this is gonna be disgusting! But once they sat in the fridge over night they were awesome!! My Little Man loves them and I feel good that I am feeding him a healthy snack rather that something processed and with alot of ingredients that I can't even spell, pronounce or much less know what they are!!

So here's to eating a Healthy, Happy Snack!!!

Help I'm Potty Training my Toddler!!

So we decided this week was the week. We were gonna wear big boy underwear all week. We have a potty seat in every bathroom and even a potty in the living room. I know ewww but we have everything well covered and you gotta do what you gotta do. Let me just say this I've never trained a dog but if it's anything like this I definitely don't want to do it. I think I have cleaned up pee about 12 times today. He's getting better but it's just slow going. I'm hoping things will soon begin to click within the next few days and he'll get it. We are rewarding with M&M's and a sticker on our potty chart. Any tips or secrets will be well appreciated!!! Wish me luck in pottyland!!

Racking up on CVS Extra Care Bucks!!

Yesterday I racked up at CVS. They have a deal going on until Sunday if you $20 worth of Pepsi products then you get $10 back in Extra Care Bucks. With all the coupons out there then you can really rack up. I spend $20 on 6 Pepsi 12 packs had $10 in coupons and extra care bucks then got $10 back in Extra care bucks. So I only paid $10 out of pocket but essentially got my money back because I got $10 back in ECB!! Can' we say deal!! So if you are a Pepsi drinker like us search for those great CVS coupons most can be found at A Full Cup under the Coupon Menu and stock up!!! Plus you'll have some money left to buy on your next CVS run!!! I plan on going again today and getting more!!!

Back to Business!!

Hello all! I have to share how I racked up at Old Navy this weekend. So I pretty much got all of both kids wardrobes for next year. Lil' Boo got most of her spring and Fall wardrobe covered and the Lil' Man got all of his clothes for next Winter. I ended up spending $150 but got clothes for the whole family. I was amazed. If you don't know about the Old Navy Clearance Event. They had all the already marked down stuff 75% off and then another 50% off of that!! An Awesome deal. I think the most I paid for one item was about $10 for a pair of jeans for me. I was so excited. They have it online too so everyone should check out Old Navy!! There are so many sales going on everywhere!!

Monday's DD Deal of the day: CVS has Buy $20 in Pepsi products and get $10 in ECB(Extra Care Bucks) So with all the coupons swimming around out there there = an excellent bargain if you play your cards right!!! I plan on going tomorrow so I'll let everyone know how I make out!!
